Robert Barringer received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1993.  After competition of his 4 year degree, Robert was awarded the most valuable teacher in the civil engineering department at Texas Tech for 2 years in a row.  Robert went on to complete a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1995. After receiving his Masters degree, Bob began working for the Texas Department of Transportation in their highly touted Special Design Departments. 

In 2001, Robert Barringer obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of law in Houston, Texas.

Robert’s legal career started at the law firm of Hirsch Robinson and consisted of medical malpractice, motor vehicle collision claims, and engineering design-defect defense litigation. Robert focused his practice in plaintiff's personal injury law at Thurlow & Associates, P.C. During Robert’s career at Thurlow & Associates, he was responsible for managing and developing the Texas Fen-Phen litigation department with over 5,000 potential clients.  In 2004, Robert broadened his experience working with Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Matthews & Friend, where he expanded his expertise on pharmaceutical litigation, focusing on Fen-Phen, PPA, Vioxx, Zocor, Oxycontin, and Serzone. In 2005, he worked with Matt Freeman & Associates, to provide litigation support for the nationally prominent O’Quinn, Laminack and Pirtle, as part of a team that focused on deposing and cross examining cardiologists, prescribing doctors, and treating physicians throughout the United States on the Fen-Phen MDL Docket.  In 2007, his expertise was requested to assist in the prosecution of the anti-psychotic medications docket by a prominent Houston law firm.  After successful completion of these earlier projects, Robert began working with Matthews and Associates to assist in the management of their contrast dye docket which consisted of over thousands of potential claimants.  While pursuing these ventures, Robert has continued to work on individual personal injury, criminal defense matters, and mass tort litigation.

Robert's engineering education combined with his law experience engineering education, the eye for detail, and his ability to relay information to other people has attracted many Houston law firms to utilize Bob’s special talents and skills.  Robert devotes his practice to protecting the legal rights of individuals and their families whether they are injured by others, in need of criminal defense, or in need of assistance with a personal injury matter.
